Midpoint reflection

My Internship has been different since I started it because now I get to do more things in the office and I am more familiar with the work, the people and the place.
The culture I my internship is very diverse. There are people from all over the world working in harmony. It is a little similar with the school but instead of students there are adults.
Multitasking is one of the things I have learned from my internship. I handle the phone, the fax, the mails etc... I know that skill will help me a lot for the future because it helps save lots of time.
I have a pretty smooth relationship with my mentors. They are very understanding and helpful.
Interacting with professional help me understand that in the future their will not be any time to play and that I should not be negligent.
I have learn to speak properly to superiors not that I didn't know that before but at work I get to practice it all the time.
The most challenging thing about this internship is that it is to quit and that makes me want to sleep sometimes. I fight it all the time, before I had coffee to help but now I guess my system is already use to it so it doesn't work much.
The altered schedule has a big impact on my personal life. I really don't have time for me in the week because of all the homework and other thing that I have to do in the family. At some point I thought I would have failed my classes because I really didn't know how to manage my time.
My goal is to do my best.
I have not learned anything about New York City that I didn't know before.

Four weeks into internship

The full name of my Internship site is Vera Institute of Justice. I am the receptionist. My site helps youths get out of trouble with the laws. For example they help immigrants in the immigrant court. On a regular base I answer the phone, forward the fax and arrange the mails. One of my memorable moments in that site was my first day, I was very nervous. I really enjoy how quiet and how peaceful the place is. The most challenging thing about my site is arranging the mails because theirs a lot of people that don't work there anymore and their mails are always on the box.

- Park place it is by the 2 3 A C trains.
- Each day I leave school around 11:40 am.
- It takes me about 40 mm to get to the internship site.
- Each day I arrive home around 4:35 to 40 pm.
- I work form Monday to Thursday for 1 to 4.
- Three persons sign my time sheet: Devaughn, Gloria and Andy

My firts two weeks at internship

The first time I stepped in my internship site I felt like I would have a Very bright future in the place . It was beautiful. The floor was very nice, not to busy but you could see and feel that the place is full of very serious people.
My mentor was very welcoming; he thought me a lot about the offices and showed me the place. Andy the old receptionist thought me almost every thing he know. Every one in the place are so nice and they were very welcoming.
At the internship site I am a receptionist. My job is to answer the phone, transfer the calls, when people come in it is my job to make them sign in and call who ever they came to see, I fix the mails and handle the faxes.
I love my Internship I would not change it for the world
